My suggestion is to keep the workcenter for cold room by this you can maintain the timing for the cold room usage and collect the cost and for shelf life of material you have to create the material master.
workcenter: cr01, cr02, cr03
material master shelf life in mrp parameters and other batch management parameters need to be activated. mm01,mm02
cost is the matter and my suggestion is to use the workcenter to activity.
